Bowers & Wilkins Loudspeakers at CEDIA 2004 (1/6/2004)
Loudspeaker manufacturer Bowers & Wilkins (B&W)
will be showing the complete range of its FPM Series (Flat Panel
Monitors). This consists of four models - the FPM-4, FPM-5, FPM-6
and the new FPM-2. These products have been designed with Plasma
and LCD displays in mind. Also on show is the new sub woofer - the
PV1. Breaking the mould of conventional sub design, the PV1 uses
two back-to-back eight inch drive units in a cabinet with no corners
or straight lines! The complete range of flush mount products will
also be on display including the high-end Signature 8 NT and new
dedicated surround model - the CDS-6.
Other B&W barnds on show:
Rotel
Renowned for its multi-channel power amps,
electronics manufacturer Rotel will be showing its all new AV line
up at CEDIA. The new range consists of the RSX-1056 receiver, RSX-1067
receiver and new mid priced processor pre-amp - the RSP-1068. Using
technology previously only available on the flagship RSP-1098 AV
processor, these new products all include video up-scaling, the
latest Dolby PLIIx pro-logic circuit, RS232 port and 12 volt triggers.
Expanding on their DVD range, a new, mid priced DVD Audio player
with progressive scan, the RDV-1050 will also be displayed.
Classé
As the global distributor of Classé,
B&W is delighted to be showing the new Delta series for the first
time in Europe. This new range of high-end audio electronics has
been designed from the ground up and demonstrates how breathtaking
design can be mixed with the very highest in audio reproduction.
Featuring TFT touch panel operation, a remarkably strong, curved
chassis design and specifically selected components, this new range
of music and cinema products sets new standards of quality in the
high-end arena.
i Command
A new brand from the B&W Group, this is the
first European showing for i Command - a radical multi-room control
system which offers the sophistication of current computer control
based platforms without the need for complicated and time consuming
programming. Utilising RS-232 protocols, i Command works by assigning
an IP address to the equipment which it is connected to, allowing
the installer to build a bespoke web page for control. Using either
CAT-5 cable or Wireless connections, i Command can be navigated
by an in-wall keypad or a PDA/PC tablet. Allowing for easy integration
with other products - projectors, lighting etc., i Command is an
ideal solution for multi-room installations.
