RGB Communications and AMX celebrate first year's trading success (1/6/2004)

RGB Communications and AMX UK are celebrating a tremendous first year of trading since RGB made the switch from long-time industry controls partner Crestron to AMX in June 2003. Total controls solutions sales for the 11 month period up to the end of May 2004 have grown significantly to the point where sales are now up more than 20% compared to the same period in the previous years. The forward order book for June promises that this trend will continue strongly as RGB's controls business continues to grow.

"This is an absolutely fabulous result", said RGB Managing Director Gordon Innocent. "Especially when you consider that we were actually forecasting a dip in sales revenues. We thought that many of our accounts would take their time in following our lead - after all we had put a tremendous amount of resource and effort into establishing Crestron's control business here in the United Kingdom in the first place. The actual results were quite the reverse of what we anticipated - record sales in July 2003 when we recorded our largest ever month's sales of control solutions".

This trend continued without fail throughout the rest of 2003 and into 2004, producing the record levels of sales now being achieved week in week out by RGB Communications. "We are not in the least surprised by RGB's success"; commented AMX UK Managing Director Timothy Penn. "We were well aware of RGB's reputation and standing in the UK market place as well as the strength of their sales and technical teams. They are natural partners for AMX. Indeed the combined sales, technical support and training services of our two organisations have ensured that we both have enjoyed successful years".

"AMX have been true to their word", added Caroline Britt, RGB Communications Sales Director. "Before we decided to switch we were given an insight of AMX's vision for the future as well as their forward product road map - they have delivered on time in every respect. The new Modero Touch Panels and MAX Multi-Media Servers introduced at the start of this year are world beating products - and there's much more to come. We're only at the initial stages of what is a harmonious and mutually profitable relationship and we are confident that 2004/05 will lead to even more success"
