The New Vision(TM) Series High Definition Vidikron
Projectors Boast The Latest 16:9 Widescreen DLP(TM) Technology
Vidikron introduced four new projectors incorporating
Texas Instruments' Digital Light Processing(TM) technology, signaling
the rebirth of the Vidikron brand: the Vision(TM) Series Model 40/Model
40ET and the Model 20/Model 20ET.
"These two models have been the first of
what will be a comprehensive line of home theater display and video
enhancement products from Vidikron", said Bob Hana, president of
Vidikron. "Targeted at discriminating home theater enthusiasts,
the Vision(TM) Series Model 40/40ET and Model 20/20ET projectors deliver
stunning picture quality and professional features for a variety
of applications without breaking the budget."
The Vision(TM) Model 40 and Model 40ET represent
the pinnacle in high performance video projection using TI's latest
16:9 native HD-2 DLP(TM) chip technology. The Model 40's advanced engineering
innovations, features, and picture quality qualify it as the centerpiece
of state-of-the art home theater installations. The entry level
Model 20 and Model 20ET also offer the latest 16:9 widescreen DLP(TM)
technology and incorporate numerous engineering innovations and
a host of professional features not typically found in projectors
in this price range.
The Model 40/40ET have a light output of
950 ANSI lumens and contrast ratios of 1600:1, while the Model 20/20ET
delivers 850 ANSI lumens of light output and 1500:1 contrast ratios,
making these projectors a superb choice for home theaters with recommended
screen requirements all the way up to 96 inches wide.
Internal video processing with 3:2 film detection
circuitry and full HDTV compatibility (without board tuner/decoder
or satellite receiver) ensure that all of these projectors are capable
of projecting any video source with stunning results. All of these
models also include support for multiple aspect ratio control, including
Vidikron's IntelliWide(TM) mode, offering the ability to view standard
video formats in widescreen without loss of image quality. Advanced
digital keystone correction and discrete IR or RS-232 control facilitate
custom installations seamlessly, while discrete source and aspect
ratio selection accommodate automation control systems.
The Vision Model 40 offers a variable throw
distance of 1.38:1 to 1.63:1, while the Model 40ET provides a longer
variable throw distance of 1.80:1 to 2.40:1. The Vision Model 20
offers a variable throw distance of 1.71:1 to 2.06:1, while the
Model 20ET provides a longer variable throw distance of 2.20:1 to
3.10:1. All of these models ship with professional grade lenses
and feature a unique 'cat's eye' optical system that enhances contrast
and optimizes black level performance. In addition, a unique 9-point
white balance system accounts for superb gray scale tracking, producing
stunning image quality with crisp detail and deeply saturated colors.
The high performance Model 40/40ET and the
Model 20/20ET offer all of the quality expected of a Vidikron product.
All models sport an aesthetically pleasing small footprint exterior
case design that blends into any room surrounding.
