McIntosh Laboratory, a world leader in home entertainment systems for over 54 years, introduces the MX135 A/V Control Center, our fourth-generation dual zone, preamp/processor.

McIntosh takes home theater processing to a new level of technology and flexibility truly unmatched in the industry. Five sets of component video inputs, composite and S-Video upconversion together with two pairs of balanced stereo inputs, eight channel balanced outputs, twelve analog inputs, eleven S-Video inputs all collaborate in perfect harmony providing unparalleled audio/video connectivity and performance.

The MX135 utilizes the new state-of-the-art Texas Instruments 'Aureus' digital processing chip, which offers the fastest and most advanced DSP in the industry. The 'Aureus' DSP is capable of 1200 million floating point operations per second assuring higher performance specifications and sound quality.

The MX135 also includes a full-featured two-channel pre amp with pure analog function including a phono preamp section. This embedded two channel preamp improves upon the performance of the most popular McIntosh two channel preamp in both distortion and signal to noise ratio. Two or multi-channel are both performed without compromise with the MX135.

Leading the impressive list of featured technologies that the MX135 incorporates are Dolby ProLogic II, Dolby Digital, DTS, Neo:6 and Stereo 96 that improve the surround imaging and decoding. Pure analog modes such as Two Channel, External, and Pure Stereo are also featured. An additional input is provided for the optional TM-1 phase-locked loop AM/FM tuner module. The MX135 is a 2-zone processor with both zones controllable from the front panel or with remote sensors/keypads and comes complete with an event based learning remote control, providing easy and seamless coordination with the most complex audio video system.

The MX135 is shipping now at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $7,600. The MX135 will be officially introduced at the Home Entertainment Show 2004 in New York City and can be seen along with McIntosh's other outstanding electronics at the Midtown Suite located on the 4th floor of the New York Hilton.
