As of April 2004 Hayden Labs becomes Denon UK Limited (19/4/2004)

As you may know, Hayden Laboratories became a wholly owned subsidiary company of initially Nippon Columbia and latterly Denon Limited in the early 1990's. At the time, we decided not to change the name as the Hayden Laboratories name was well established in its own right and Hayden was still active with third party agencies. Since then, the Denon brand name has become increasingly strong in the market and we have increased our focus on the sales and marketing of Denon in preference to any third party products.

For a while now, it has been clear that not having Denon as part of our company name has caused some confusion for customers. For the last twelve to eighteen months, we have been working hard behind the scenes on a series of initiatives designed to enhance many aspects of our operation and the support we are able to offer retailers and our end-customers.

A number of these initiatives relate only to our company, but others have been taking place on a pan-European and global basis and will be rolling out in the coming financial year. In fact we anticipate the majority of these enhancements to be implemented within the next 3-6 months.

Denon UK brings

- A new corporate design
- Denon's strongest ever line-up starting with the AVR-3805 and going forward in 04 with a huge range of new models reshaping the face of Denon

Background work and investment during 2003/4 will deliver major benefits during FY 2004/5

- Increased focus on customer service to retailers and end-users
- New off-site warehousing system for main stock
- Chalfont location upgrades planned to improve Denon service operations
- New operations manager to streamline internal systems
- Serial number tracking for all products now fully operational
- New service dept software system to be introduced
- Service dept booking and tracking for retailers via web
