News Boston Acoustics Expands Outdoor Speaker Offerings With Addition Of Voyager Metro (11/3/2004) Renowned Audio Systems Manufacturer Introduces next generation of Voyager outdoor speakers. Boston Acoustics, Inc., a premier manufacturer of high performance audio solutions, introduces its Voyager Metro outdoor speaker. The Voyager Metro plays a stereo signal from a single speaker location. Ideal where sound is desired outdoors, but space is limited. The Voyager Metro employs dual voice coil 6 1Ú2 -inch woofers and dual 1-inch Kortec(r) tweeters. Suggested retail for the Voyager Metro is $300. Along with the introduction of the Voyager Metro, Boston Acoustics simultaneously introduces the next generation of Boston Voyagers, the Voyager4, Voyager5, Voyager6 and Voyager7 will retail for $220, $300, $400 and $700 respectively. All voyager speakers continue to be crafted of rugged material, sealed boxes and aluminum grilles. All models are available in Black or White and are a perfect complement to the Voyager Sub12. The Voyager Sub12 delivers high-impact bass in open-air or marine environments, the Voyager Outdoor Subwoofer features a completely sealed, UV-resistant polyethylene enclosure that can withstand harsh conditions, including extreme heat or cold, salt water, and high winds.
