News Boston Acoustics Expands Designer Line With New 3-Way In-wall Speaker (11/3/2004) The VRi793 Offers High Performance, Reference-Quality Sound From an In-Wall Speaker. Boston Acoustics, Inc., a premier manufacturer of high performance audio solutions, today announced the expansion of its Designer speaker line with the addition of a revolutionary in-wall speaker system, the VRi793. Ideal for Hidden Theater(tm) applications, the VRi793 is a high performance 3-way in-wall loudspeaker. Through combining technology and attributes of Boston's new BT cinema loudspeakers, with its highly acclaimed VRi Reference Series in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, the VRi793 speaker provides precise imaging and dynamic output levels. The VRi793, priced at $1600 each, features an 8-inch cast neodymium woofer, 1 1Ú2 inch voice coil and massive heat sinks for high power handling, a rotating MT (Midrange Tweeter) baffle with a 4 1Ú2 inch neodymium woofer and Boston's new VR(r) High Output 1-inch tweeter.
