Knoll Systems Balanced Video and Stereo Baluns (9/3/2004)

Balun systems allow the safe and undistorted transmission of stereo and video signals over a long distance. Studios have used baluns for decades. Balun systems require a sender to balance the signal and a receiver to unbalance this same signal.

Knoll's baluns use a single category 5 wire for transmission. Component video OR composite video and stereo signals can be distributed anywhere in the home, even to multiple locations. The Knoll active balun solution is better than conventional transformer balun systems because it achieves "no-loss" at the receiver terminal, using its automatic active equalization. The Knoll balun output is essentially identical to the Knoll balun input up to 500 or 1000 feet.

Send composite stereo and video on a single cat 5 wire without any loss. Send component video on a single cat 5 wire without any loss.
