Loewe extends its range of LCDs (and there's more to follow!) (2/3/2004)

Premium display manufacturer Loewe has extended its range of small format (20" and below) LCDs by introducing the Xelos SL 20 - the first model in the new Xelos family of 20"- 37" LCDs.

Loewe now offers consumers three very different solutions in the small format LCD sector - Spheros 20, Xelos SL20 and Mimo 15 - with Mimo 20 to follow shortly.

Xelos SL20

The first and smallest model in the brand new Xelos SL family - Xelos SL20 is incredibly versatile, combining 20" flat screen technology with eye-catching design to complement any living environment.

The Xelos SL20 ensures excellent image quality with Diagonal Contour Control (DCC), which displays diagonal picture movements without annoying step effects. The artificial shadowing associated with light/dark signals is eliminated with new Luminance Transition Improvement (LTI) resulting in authentic images with natural colours and great depth of focus.

Other features include split screen options, 100 page Teletext memory for all your favourite pages, Active Matrix LCD display, an integrated FM radio and Virtual Dolby Surround which offers an alternative to rear channel speakers, generating surround sound from normal stereo signals.

Minimalist in design, Xelos SL20 has frame depth of just 7.5cm, a choice of mounting solutions, including tabletop and wall mounting options and a sleek, contemporary Platinum finish.

Mimo 15

Fun and funky in design, the Mimo 15 LCD TV with 38 cm (15") screen delivers undistorted images with stunning colour resolution and benefits from an integrated FM radio tuner and alarm function.

The unique styling is enhanced by interchangeable front panels available in a variety of colours ranging from Cream, Platinum and Anthracite to Cayenne Red and Ocean Blue. Placement options include freestanding and wall-mounted solutions, making Mimo 15 suitable for the studio or bedroom.

Mimo 15 will shortly have an equally eye-catching big brother in the form of the 20" Mimo 20, due to launch in March 2004.

Spheros 20

Combining elegant design with superior picture quality, Spheros 20 is Loewe's premium small screen LCD TV. The original Platinum finish has now been joined by a new High Gloss Basalt option, in line with the rest of Loewe's high-end Systems range.

Spheros 20 now features a new scaler for higher resolution pictures and advanced Super View Black TFT display technology guaranteeing excellent contrast, with fast action scenes appearing smooth and undistorted. Also incorporated is Loewe's TV tuner for high quality reception and two-channel stereo sound courtesy of integrated speakers.

The 20" 4:3 screen is ideal as a luxury second television in the bedroom, home office or kitchen. PCS Plus (Personal Control System) technology gives the viewer easy operation via a unique on screen dialogue, while the Digital Link feature offers convenient control over Loewe VCRs and DVD players with one Loewe remote control. Other features include FM radio with RDS functionality.

At just 7.5cm deep the Spheros 20 comes with a choice of versatile placement options, including tabletop rotating base, floor stand (also rotating) and wall mounting solution. A truly contemporary television, Spheros 20 is targeted at those who appreciate high-end styling and innovative technological design.
