Auvi expands into worldwide digital audio market
- opens global sales and R&D facilities in response to rise in demand
(5/2/2004)
Digital A/V designer and developer Auvi Technologies,
has extended its global reach with new offices in India and Hong
Kong. These offices are in addition to the European branch, which
opened in Shannon, Ireland in October 2003.
The US-based company has expanded following
an increased level of consumer demand, as well as newly generated
business-to-business (B2B) sales, within the domestic and international
markets.
Along with an R&D facility in India, which
will develop new technologies for the companyâs upcoming products,
Auvi has opened a West Coast office in San Jose, CA, to oversee
this development and generate domestic B2B sales. Auviâs Hong Kong
office will play an essential element in sourcing technical components,
opening a sales channel into the Asian consumer market and serving
as the companyâs quality assurance facility.
"Our focus is on delivering innovative technology
and applications in designs suitable for all consumers, wherever
they are located. With the launch of our SA100 and several prestigious
design awards, we have witnessed high levels of demand for our products,
making it crucial for this early expansion," said Santosh Patel,
president of Auvi Technologies. "Our new facilities will enable
us to meet growing B2B demand, as well as deliver consumers leading
digital audio and video products worldwide."
Auvi recently received two CES Innovations
2004 Design and Engineering Awards for both its SA250 and SA1500
at this yearâs show in Las Vegas. The company launched the first
of its new line of digital audio players, the SA100, in December
2003.
