Mitsubishi Digital Projector Group Launches Consumer Web Site Fit for Novices and Nerds; Site Teaches Everything There Is to Know About Video Projectors (5/2/2004)

Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products Division, maker of award-winning, high-quality presentation and display products, today announced its new Web site designed to educate consumers about video projectors in a straightforward, easy-to-use format and addresses business or home cinema applications.

"We want consumers to use the site as an informational resource, whether they're professional road warriors or daring new big screen home cinema enthusiasts," said Marty Lash, channel marketing manager, Mitsubishi Digital's Presentation Products Division. "The new design provides an easier site to navigate, for new projector users or high-tech wizards."

Information on the site is presented in four basic categories: Learn, Find, Buy and Customer Service. Under the "Learn" tab, consumers discover important technical information on projector technology such as the differences between DLP(TM) and LCD, along with facts on Mitsubishi Digital's proprietary technology, like its ColorView(TM) color reproduction process. "Find" helps Web surfers explore, research and discover Mitsubishi Digital's wide array of data/video projectors, as well as its current promotional programs. The "Buy" tab points users to dealers and online retailers, and the "Customer Service" tab includes everything that a customer needs, including technical support FAQs and product registration information.

"We intend to have the site used as a resource that people will bookmark and revisit for information," added Lash.

The site has product areas that help consumers determine which projector is best for them; quick access buttons bring consumers to projector product areas as well as environmental tips for safe disposal of projector lamps.

"We continue to strive to meet the needs of our customers," said Aki Ninomiya, vice president, Mitsubishi Digital. "Our new design helps consumers find information more easily, making their Web experience more positive."
