At ISE 2004, Linn staff will demonstrate involving multi-channel and multi-room custom entertainment solutions and exciting new additions to the Linn range of KNEKT multi-user multi-room and multi-channel source, control and playback components.

KNEKT Multi-user Multi-room Solutions

The KNEKT range of products allows installers and systems integraters to create the most comprehensive selection of high quality solutions for multi-room audio distribution. Up to 16 central sources of Linn quality audio can be distributed to up to 128 different zones and sub-zones, and concurrently and independently accessed by multiple users. Local amplification and short speaker cable runs combine with CAT-5 cabling and line-level distribution to achieve Linn's unrivalled clean accurate sound. Linn's flexible system architecture offers the widest range of system solutions - the installer can choose the level they desire / require at any stage - the source, control, playback, driver, receiver and control interfaces are all interchangeable. The KNEKT system can also be integrated seamlessly with third party products and automation.

New KNEKT products on demonstration and display include:

* The KIVOR INDEX audio server, offering exceptional audio performance and designed for simple installation in both Linn KNEKT and third-party multi-room systems. The KIVOR INDEX is an eight zone audio distribution component and uses Linn's proprietary REKURSIV(tm) software to deliver outstanding performance with class-leading reliability and data integrity.

* The new KNEKT LINE RECEIVER 2i offers improved performance for remote zones and sub-zones. With Linn silent power for central or local sources the new compact and cool-running KNEKT ROOMAMP 2i offers more power and greater flexibility to maximise performance in local and sub zones. LINE RECEIVER 2d and ROOMAMP 2d offer the same features with the additional benefit of an in-built LINN DEKODA for control of non-Linn products.

* The choice of KNEKT room control keypad solutions now includes the new BASIK 3 and BASIK 3 IR Room Control Units for simple control of key functions.

* For more advanced control, a technology demonstrator of the forthcoming EKP (ENHANCED KONTROL PLATFORM) and VEKTO network translator is displayed. The EKP controller is designed to offer an intuitive, portable control solution built to run on open platforms and provides fast and responsive access to entertainment equipment throughout a home. It allows the user control, visibility and simple direct access to enjoy their whole-home entertainment system fully.

* The powerful new LINN DEKODA IR translator allows custom installers to offer seamless control and operation of non-Linn products in a Linn KNEKT multi-room installation.

* New LINNSTALL 2 software enables simple and intuitive configuration and installation of KNEKT multi-room systems from a PC. A new graphical interface makes system design fast and simple with 'drag and drop' menus and single screen display of the entire system configuration.

The Linn stand will also feature high performance multi-format A/V source components including the stunning "true convergence" UNIDISK 1.1 player. The UNIDISK range of products unifies audio and video sources and embraces all quality 12cm, 5" optical disc formats for the most involving entertainment experience. The UNIDISK 1.1 player will be demonstrated with the new KISTO system controller which offers outstanding audio and video performance, ease of use and simple integration with built in interfaces for control of third party products, including projector lifts, screens, lighting, blinds and curtains.

* UNIDISK 2.1 player - a universal source component engineered to deliver reference standard video and superior pitch accurate audio performance and based around Linn's proprietary SILVER DISK ENGINE(tm) universal decoding technology.

* UNIDISK SC player - a precision-engineered, high-fidelity universal disc-playing source with integrated surround-sound processing and control, offering high-quality surround sound playback of the user's existing music collection, and immediate, straightforward access to new high-definition music and movie formats.

* CLASSIK Movie Di - representing a serious performance alternative to traditional component-based audio or home theater systems, offering all of the benefits of Linn performance with the convenience of a neat, complete and integrated solution.
