Optoma Europe Launches The H30 DLP Projector (22/1/2004)

Continuing their commitment to create the very best in picture quality, Optoma Europe today announced the launch of the H30 into its award-winning ThemeSceneTM range of DLPTM Home Cinema video projectors. Priced at just £1195 inc VAT, the H30 demonstrates the Big-Screen image with ease.

Designed for Europe, the H30 is by far the lowest cost DLPTM Widescreen Home Cinema projector with a six segment colour wheel. Eliminating the white segment allows colour vibrancy and accuracy not seen previously at this level, and together with the phenomenal 2000:1 contrast ratio, the picture quality is easily on a par with other projectors twice the price.

Many low cost Home Cinema projectors are designed for the US market. The ThemeScene H30 was designed for the European market offering SCART RGB in addition to Component, S-Video and Composite inputs. Many DVD players, Digital Set-Top Box's and Games Consoles only output inferior Composite signals through SCART to most projectors. By implementing SCART RGB, the ThemeSceneTM H30 ensures that picture quality, similar to component, is always the best possible, from whatever the source.

Weighing only 2 kg, this small lightweight projector simply guarantees a stunning performance. From a 3 meter distance, the H30 can project an image 77 inches diagonal, extending up to a huge 256 inches from 10 meters away for the "at-home" Big-Screen experience. The unique SCART adaptor uses standard VGA cable, so the cost of having your projector a distance from the source will not be prohibitive as with long good quality SCART leads.
