Sima's New IR/RF Universal Remote: Control from anywhere (21/1/2004)

Sima's new SUR-47 Universal Remote Control breaks the IR barrier! Combining the direct simplicity of an IR remote with the powerful utility of RF signal transmission, this powerful remote can operate equipment from any room in a home or office. An IR/RF relay base transmits through walls and around corners. The SUR-47 provides a higher level of flexibility and convenience for the power user. This remote also combines touch screen flexibility and hard button functionality! Press a button to select a device and the touch screen displays the appropriate control panel instantly. Use the Remote Locator to find the hand unit when lost. Use macro commands to automate numerous functions. Control up to 16 different TVs, VCRs, DVDs, and more. Backlit for easy nighttime viewing.

"Smarter, stronger and more powerful. As entertainment technology advances, the demand for multi-faceted remotes is growing " said Ilana Diamond, president of Sima Products. " The SUR-47 can operate your home entertainment system in a way that was unheard of just a few years ago. Features such as the IR/RF signal relay and quick access channel groups make this unit much more than a remote control; it is a personal command center."

This ground-breaking remote offers Quick Channel grouping to store your favorite TV channels by category. Simply press one category button, such as SPORTS, and scroll through the channels you have selected for that category. The five category buttons include SPORTS, MOVIES, NEWS, KIDS and EDUCATION. Store up to 50 channels for use as Quick Channels. The SUR-47 operates up to sixteen A/V devices, eliminating the need for multiple remotes. The SUR- 47 can automatically search its code database to identify the most popular TVs, VCRs, DVDs, etc. to find the correct code to operate your equipment.

Each time you select a different device the unit displays the appropriate control screen instantly. And both the buttons and the screen are nicely backlit for easy nighttime viewing. Last, and best of all the SUR-47 has the one thing every remote owner has always wanted: a Remote locator button. Can't find it? Press the button on the base station and the hand unit will beep for you to come get it!
