ELAN Debuts Next Generation Structured Wiring Product
Line at CES 2004 (14/1/2004)
New, Expanded Line Provides ELAN Dealers with
One-stop Shop for all of Their Structured Wiring Needs
ELAN(tm) Home Systems today announced the company's
plans to introduce a comprehensive new line of Structured Wiring
products designed for home networking and entertainment distribution.
The ELAN SW line provides a complete range
of wiring solutions, which enable homeowners to enjoy current as
well as future technologies in an integrated home network. "We combined
several tried-and-true staples of the ELAN AV/EC line, such as its
large, molded enclosures and integrated intercom and whole house
music system with the revolutionary grid-based OpenHouse(tm) telephone,
data and RF components. As a result, dealers can now offer the most
flexible, feature rich structured wiring solution available today,"
says Bob Farinelli, ELAN's President and Chief Technology Officer.
Encompassing a broad array of SW enclosures,
easy snap-in modules, and accessories, the new line provides Dealers
with the means to design a wiring network that best suits their
client's individual needs, equipment in the home, and budget. ELAN's
Structured Wiring line includes products that facilitate the distribution
and control of audio, video, telephone and data/(no spaces like
later where we mention audio/video)computers as well as a wide variety
of home automation systems and devices.
In addition, the expanded line has been designed
to offer one of the most cost-effective whole house solutions for
the budget-minded consumer, as well as upscale features desired
by the more technology-oriented homeowner. An added benefit includes
compatibility with an exceptional range of ELAN entertainment and
communication add-on products. This offering complements the ELAN
product lineup, and provides Dealers with a one-stop shop for integrated
home solutions -- offering everything from structured wiring, A/V
distribution, digital amplifiers, speakers, touch panels, music
source components, and high-fidelity paging, intercom and door access
all the way up to sophisticated control systems capable of integrating
virtually all subsystems in the house.
"In 1990 ELAN pioneered the first residential
structured wiring solution with our introduction of the TD line,"
continued Mr. Farinelli. "Since that time, this category has grown
as more clients are asking for the latest home technologies including
distributed A/V systems, cable modems, DSL, and in-home networks.
Meanwhile, our company has continued to expand its very broad line
of good, better, best home A/V components and system solutions.
The introduction of the SW line cleary supports one of ELAN's major
initiatives, which is to continue to provide our Dealers and their
Customers with the best end-to-end, yet cost-effective, integrated
home system solutions available on the market."
ELAN's expanded Structured Wiring products
will be available beginning in the second quarter of 2004. The new
SW line consists of 48 products with individual product prices ranging
from four dollars to five hundred dollars.
