Screen Research's ClearPix2 Projection Screen Has Obtained THX Certification (23/12/2003)

The ClearPix range consists exclusively of acoustically transparent projection screens with excellent audio and video characteristics. This range of acoustically transparent screens is also the only one compatible with fixed-pixel projectors such as DMD, DLP, LCD, or D-ILA.

THX certification recognizes ClearPix2's quality, and guarantees:

- Optimal image quality by adherence to the strict standards of color consistency, image uniformity across the projection surface, as well as gain and viewing angle.

- Unequaled acoustic transparency which maintains the qualities of the speakers placed behind the screen.

The THX standard is attributed to exceptional products which meet the most demanding quality standards and which allow you to recreate the full Cinema sensation in your own home. For videoprojection screens, this certification is only applicable to acoustically transparent screens, which are the only ones which allow optimal placement of the speakers.

ClearPix 2 is the world's second THX-certified projection screen. Additionally, ClearPix2 does not require acoustic correction due to its exceptionally acoustical transparency.

ClearPix2 is available for fixed-frame and motorized screens, in 16/9 and 4/3 aspect ratios, for image widths from 70" (1.80m) to 120" (3.05m) It is available in matte white (0.95 gain) for all types of projectors or in Pearl Grey (0.75 gain) for entry-level projectors, which helps guarantee better contrast or for very high-powered projectors.
