ChannelPlus SVC-10 System Offers Flexibility in Point-to-Point
S-Video Distribution (23/12/2003)
Installers have many options in point-to-point
S-video distribution when using the SVC-10 system from ChannelPlus,
part of the Linear Electronics Group (Carlsbad, CA). Typical applications
include: distributing unconverted audio and video from a music management
system over a single Cat 5 cable; providing video and audio access
to a pool house or other outbuilding with no ground looping problems
or coax required; creating a cost effective single zone audio distribution
system with unlimited power and simplified wiring; looping several
units together for whole house distribution; delivering high quality
audio and video to box seats in a sports arena; accessing home theater
from a bedroom with full IR remote control; and switching between
multiple sources, when combined with the SVS-52 5-source video/audio
switcher from ChannelPlus.
The SVC-10 system consists of a transmitter
, which is placed at the source, and a compact receiver, which is
set up in a remote location. The system's integrated IR makes it
possible to control an audio or video source with the click of a
remote control. The SVC-10 permits distribution of both audio and
video or audio alone. It eliminates ground loop problems, lack of
signal integrity over long runs, and any need for stacks of components
in remote rooms, as well as coax and/or video and audio cables to
these remote rooms.
The SVC-10 will be on display at the 2004
International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 8-11,
2004 in Las Vegas. The Linear Electronics Group booth is #17682
in the Las Vegas Convention Center South, 1 and 2.
