OpenHouse Offers Premium Package of Structured Wire
Products (23/12/2003)
OpenHouse Structured Wire Systems, part of the
Linear Electronics Group (Carlsbad, CA), has put together in a single
enclosure, a Premium Package of its structured wiring technologies
for easy connection of entertainment, communications, safety, and
automation products. To take the guesswork out of structured wiring,
this central gateway is designed to make residences home-theater-ready
and household-network-ready.
OpenHouse's Premium Package consists of:
a 36-inch high H336 steel enclosure with HC36A cover; an H291AC
power accessory that adds two side-by-side standard electrical outlets
at the top of the enclosure; an H611 Telephone Master Hub with surge
protection; an H628 Data Termination Hub; an H634 Internet Gateway
Hub/Router/Switcher; an H638 expansion hub; two H629 Telecom Termination
Hubs; three H270 Wire Spacers for wiring management; an H838BID
Video Hub; an H650 Integrated Voice Network with four phone lines
(two automated, two for fax or internet, and six zones for up to
31 phones); and an H460 Audio Distribution Hub.
The H611 Telephone Master Hub includes telephone
service for four lines, surge protection with LED indication, and
an RJ-31X for seizure of line one. The H628 Data Termination Hub
is for terminating up to eight Cat 5e cables. The H634 Internet
Gateway Hub is a 10/100Mbs four port hub and router that accepts
DSL and cable modem inputs and includes a built-in firewall. The
H638 is an expansion switcher that adds the capability of interfacing
up to eight additional computers to the network. For data networking,
the two H629 Telecom Termination Hubs offers certified 100 Base-T
performance and eight Cat 5e bridgeable circuits. To provide video
distribution with IR control, the H838BID Video Hub distributes
CATV to eight televisions throughout the house and has two modulator
inputs for adding locally generated channels from a camera or DVD.
The H650 is a multi-zone telephone system that supports six zones
and up to 31 phones (with 12 ringing simultaneously); it also offers
30 minutes of voice mail recording time, optional music on hold,
zone-to-zone intercom, and a unique intercom ring pattern. For distributing
music throughout the house, the H460 delivers quality audio to four
separate rooms over a single Cat 5 connection to each.
The Structured Wiring Premium Package from
OpenHouse will be featured at the 2004 International Consumer Electronics
Show in Las Vegas, January 8-11, 2004 in Las Vegas. The Linear Electronics
Group booth is #17682 in the Las Vegas Convention Center South,
