DWIN Introduces World's First Dual Display Processor
System (17/12/2003)
Multi-Display Configuration Streamlines Home Theater
Installations
DWIN Electronics, Inc. today introduces the new
DuoVision(tm), the world's first dual display processor that provides
full digital connectivity to DWIN's TransVision(tm)3, a 720p DLP(tm)
projector and PlasmaImage(tm) HD-50, a 50-inch high-definition plasma
display. The new system will be introduced at the Consumer Electronics
Show (CES) in Las Vegas, January 8 - 11, 2004, Booth 18811 in the
Home Theater/Home Systems exhibit area (South Hall 1).
The DuoVision(tm) dual display processor
was specifically developed in response to consumer and installer
demand for greater convenience and flexibility in home theater installations.
The DuoVision(tm) provides true high-definition
and stunning, film-like images. Movie theater realism is achieved
with DWIN's acclaimed video signal processing:
* Deep black levels and natural color reproduction
are secured with precision grayscale settings and optimal gamma
selection;
* Motion artifacts are virtually eliminated
with DWIN's Adaptive Film Mode Processing algorithm; and
* Picture depth is increased with Signal
Dynamic Range Expansion circuitry.
* The DuoVision(tm) accepts 10 video inputs
from virtually all analog and digital video sources, identifies
the display type and delivers DVI signals with matching native resolution
to each display. The signals are delivered via two proprietary DVI
cables.
This enables complete digital connectivity
from the source to the display, ensuring the best possible picture
quality. As an added benefit, installations are correspondingly
faster and less complex with proprietary DVI cables designed to
easily run through a 1" conduit.
The DuoVision(tm)'s unique design enables
the processor to be conveniently located near all the video gear
in one central location in the home theater, while the PlasmaImage(tm)
can be mounted in any other room. The TransVision(tm) and PlasmaImage(tm)
can display either the same or two different video sources. The
system is sold in several different configurations with the choice
of DWIN's DLP(tm) projectors and plasma displays.
Suggested retail price for the systems start
at $22,950.
