InFocus Receives Three CES Innovations 2004 Design
and Engineering Awards (15/12/2003)
InFocus LP120, LP640, and LiteShow Receive Recognition
in Video, Mobile, and Wireless Categories
InFocus Corporation, the worldwide leader in digital
projection technology and services, today announced that the InFocus
LP(r)120, the first personal, mobile business projector; the InFocus
LP640, the newest wirelessly enabled meeting room projector; and
InFocus LiteShow(r), the secure wireless projection solution, have
all received CES Innovations 2004 Design and Engineering Showcase
Awards.
Judges for the CES Innovations awards chose
InFocus products for their superior user value, aesthetics, contributions
to the quality of life, innovative quality and design. InFocus will
be honored at a reception on January 7th, 2004 at CES in Las Vegas,
and the products will be on display at booth #15127 at CES January
8-11, 2004.
"We are honored to receive three CES Innovations
2004 Design and Engineering Showcase Awards, which validate our
commitment to innovation, excellence, and consumer-based design,"
said Kyle Ranson, President and Chief Operating Officer at InFocus
Corporation. "As projectors become a commonplace at work and at
home, InFocus will continue to innovate to provide consumers with
the highest quality big picture solutions."
Recognized as an honoree in the mobile electronics
category, the innovative InFocus LP120 is the world's first personal
projector. Weighing in at a feather-light, sub two pounds (0.9 kg),
the LP120 presents a sleek, narrow profile that was designed to
fit into a briefcase along side a notebook computer, making it easy
to stow and carry all in one bag. The LP120 is easy to use, with
the industry's first interactive display that indicates the working
status of the projector in seven languages, and also includes color-coded
cables that take the guess work out of set-up and use.
The judges also recognized the InFocus LP640
as an honoree in the meeting room projector category. The LP640
is the newest meeting room projector by InFocus and combines intuitive
expertise with superior capability. Users get instant accessibility
to high-end features, including wireless connectivity and out-of-the-box
networking capabilities, all designed with the input of consumers
who use projectors. The LP640 offers outstanding color saturation
with 2500 lumens of brightness combined with breakthrough features
including automatic image synchronization for fast set-up and use.
Additionally, quiet operation and superb audio fidelity keep the
audience focused on the presenter, not the equipment.
The InFocus LiteShow has been recognized
as an honoree in the wireless communications category. Boldly designed
for unsurpassed simplicity-of-use, LiteShow is the world's first
"connect and project", zero-configuration wireless projection system.
Created to produce more efficient meetings where users can securely
project and share their ideas from anywhere in the room, LiteShow
is compatible with any projector with an M1-DA or M1-D standard
connector, and features performance and security on par with cabled
projection.
