OnQ Technologies Receives 2003 Electronic House Expo Distributed Audio Award (11/12/2003)

OnQ was honored for the second year in a row for innovations in Multi-Room Audio for the new OnQ Gold and Blue Line Series In-Wall Speakers

OnQ Technologies, Inc., the leader in the home networking systems market, was honored for the second year in a row with the 2003 Electronic House Expo Distributed Audio Award. The OnQ Gold and Blue Line Series In-Wall Speakers were selected for this prestigious award, sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association, for being one of the best innovations and technologies in multi-room audio. Last year, OnQ received the 2002 Distributed Audio Award for the OnQ A-BUS 4-Room Finish Kit, and the OnQ 19` Custom Rack Drawer.

The new OnQ Gold and Blue Series In-Wall Speaker Line was honored with this years distributed audio award because of the quality engineering and innovation it brings to the industry. The speakers were designed to produce the highest quality sound for distributed audio and home theaters. The OnQ In-Wall speakers were custom designed from the ground up by OnQ engineers for the ultimate in performance and sound quality at a low cost. The speaker line offers flexibility in installations and sound control based on consumer preference and space in the home. OnQ designed a tweeter level adjustment switch in the speakers that adjusts high frequency to better match a speaker to the environment in the home. Special mica doped cones were added to the speakers to aid in the efficiency and sound quality. The speakers also feature a hand-selected, aesthetically pleasing transparent grill for better sound quality, and a transparent scrum cloth that sits behind the speaker grill to match the white of the ceiling, camouflaging the speaker in the home.

There are three series of speakers in the In-Wall speaker line that offer something for every budget, from high-quality Blue Line Series Multi-Room speakers and Blue Line Home Theater Series speakers, to the highest-quality Gold Line Series Multi-Room speakers.
