New Opera Loudspeakers at UKD (12/11/2003)

UKD are pleased to announce the arrival of the following new loudspeaker designs from Opera.

New Opera Mini

The Mini has long been a favourite with both us and the public. Now it's even better. The new Mini carries on the tradition of the beautifully crafted solid hardwood cabinet and features upgraded drive units and crossover design. This upgrade results in increased detail and clarity, whilst retaining the smoothness and fluidity for which the Mini was justly famous. A real, connoisseurs design, it offers excellent sound quality and build for its modest price.

Opera II (Seconda)

The II (Seconda) is a new design for those who wish for a larger scale sound from a standmounter. The performance is smooth and detailed, with excellent bass extension for a design of such proportions. The use of high quality drive units and crossover ensure that the II delivers a performance that will surprise and delight.

New Opera Platea

In addition to a new version of the Mini, Opera have upgraded and revamped another classic from their range. The new Platea features a new cabinet design (still, of course, solid hardwood) and introduced a new crossover and bass/midrange drive unit. The result is an elegant and compact floorstander with superb clarity and fluidity.

New Opera Centro

The new Centro centre 'speaker is designed to work with all Opera models as part of a high quality multichannel system. It features a solid hardwood cabinet with a front port. A high quality dual concentric driver design is used, where the tweeter sits at the centre of the bass/midrange unit. The sound is lucid and well balanced - making it ideal for the essential dialogue and other centre channel information. A worthy addition to the Opera AV stable.
