TV-Quality Video Telephony from Viseon

Viseon, Inc., a global developer and provider of broadband personal video communications solutions, today announced the new VisiFone TV(TM) family video communicator. With the new patented VisiFone TV and a broadband Internet connection, any TV becomes a multi-media family communications center. The VisiFone TV gives consumers live, interactive video communications over IP at speeds up to 512k. The VisiFone TV has all of the features of the award winning Viseon VisiFone(TM) but at a lower cost and on a larger screen by using by a consumer's TV.

"Using the VisiFone TV, the entire family can now be a part of a live video call with their loved ones, anywhere in the world, for FREE," said John Harris, Viseon's president and CEO. " With major cable companies increasing basic broadband access speeds to 3Mbps and higher, the entire VisiFone product family now becomes even more exciting for consumers."

To further add value to their high-speed data offerings to consumers, cable multi-system operators including Comcast, Cablevision, Cox, Charter, Time Warner Cable and several others have recently announced increases in the minimum bandwidth provided in their basic offerings.

About The VisiFone

The VisiFone is the world's first low-cost broadband videophone. It is a self-contained system that does not require a PC or any external equipment. The VisiFone operates on any broadband connection and home or office network including high-speed Internet connections via DSL or cable modem. The VisiFone is H.323 or SIP compliant and delivers up to 30 frames per second video and crisp audio quality utilizing 128k to 512k of bandwidth. It is compatible with virtually all corporate video conferencing systems, yet at $599, the VisiFone can be used by the over 20 million broadband connected U.S. homes.
