Panasonic Introduces T-navi Internet Service At ITU Telecom World 2003 (11/10/2003)

A convenient and fun way to connect to the Internet

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., best known for its Panasonic brand products, will present 'T-navi' service, a convenient and fun-to-use lifestyle information network service designed to make full use of the functionality offered by digital televisions at ITU TELECOM WORLD 03 12-18 October in Geneva, Switzerland. This service was launched last May in Japan and will be exhibited for the first time in Europe.

In recent years always-on home connections to the Internet employing standards such as ADSL have become ever more popular. In addition to personal computers, many new electronic devices now offer network connectivity. Digital television sets, which are expected to become widespread in the years ahead, offer a large, high-definition picture and have the potential to realize a new, more advanced level of interactive communications than is presently available.
