Coastal Acoustics and Celtic Audio Sign Agreement

Celtic Audio Ltd. has announced that it has concluded an agreement with Coastal Acoustics Ltd. whereby Coastal will distribute the revolutionary Celtic "Legend" range of active loudspeakers alongside its own BOXER range.

Neil Grant, Managing Director of Coastal said, "We are impressed by the extraordinary imaging and clarity of the "Legend" series making them ideal for high quality surround or stereo monitoring. These active, omni-directional systems are particularly applicable to surround formats, especially where room acoustics would make the use of conventional speakers problematic."

John Watkinson, Technical Director of Celtic Audio Ltd. said how much his company appreciated this endorsement by Neil Grant, who has an international reputation for expertise in sound reproduction and acoustic design.

David Lambert, Managing Director of Celtic, noted that a recent review by the magazine "Essential Home Cinema" commented on the impeccable imaging without recourse to a centre channel or to precise placement of the speakers. After remarking favourably on the system's performance with sound effects in Jurassic Park and Fellowship of the Ring, the reviewer went on to say, "Listening to DVD-Audio discs though, it became clear what these speakers are really designed for. Music sounds simply superb, filling the room with a natural presence that sounds utterly enveloping no matter what type of music you play, nor what volume you listen at".

These comments are typical of the "Legend" listening experience and are a culmination of five years of research into omni-directional technology and innovative construction methods. Future models will address the need for higher power handling for studio monitoring as well as meeting the requirements of the discerning home cinema enthusiast.
