Da-Lite releases selection of screen surfaces
Da-Lite Screen Company, Inc. announced the availability of the
widest range of high-contrast gray projection surfaces to the marketplace.
Now, choosing the correct high-contrast screen for a fixed pixel
projection device is even easier by selecting one of the following
gray-based screen surfaces.
High Contrast Da-Mat
The first of Da-Lite's gray based surfaces
has a gain of 0.8 and a 45 degree half angle. High Contrast Da-Mat
is ideal for use with today's high-output LCD, LCoS(tm), D-ILA(r)
and three-chip DLP(tm) projectors. This surface improves the perceived
contrast levels by lowering black levels in settings where ambient
lighting is controlled. High Contrast Da-Mat is available on Da-Lite's
fixed frame and tab tensioned electric screens.
High Contrast Audio Vision
With the same optical characteristics as
High Contrast Da-Mat, High Contrast Audio Vision is perforated to
allow placement of a center-channel speaker behind the screen surface
with less than a 5 dB loss at the 20k frequency and less than 1
dB at the 10k frequency.
High Contrast Cinema Vision
With a gain of 1.1 and a 45 degree half angle,
High Contrast Cinema Vision is the perfect choice for installations
utilizing single-chip DLP or LCD projectors with moderate output.
With a gray-colored base material and a specially designed reflective
coating, the High Contrast Cinema Vision fabric is designed to enhance
the black level of projected images without sacrificing the white-level
output. In addition, with enhanced contrast levels, the High Contrast
Cinema Vision is good for settings where ambient lighting is moderately
controlled. High Contrast Cinema Vision is available on Da-Lite's
fixed frame and tab-tensioned electric screens.
High Contrast Cinema Perf
With the same optical characteristics as
High Contrast Cinema Vision, High Contrast Cinema Perf surface is
perforated to allow placement of a center-channel speaker behind
the screen surface with less than a 5 dB loss at the 20k frequency
and less than 1 dB at the 10k frequency.
High Contrast Matte White
The latest of Da-Lite's High Contrast surfaces
has a gain of 1.1 and a 45 degree half angle much like the High
Contrast Cinema Vision. With a fiberglass-based gray material substrate
and a specially designed reflective coating, the High Contrast Matte
White fabric enhances the black level of projected images while
maintaining the white-level output. High Contrast Matte White is
designed for use in applications where a tensioned screen is not
needed.
