Canton Debuts New LE 200 Series Loudspeakers
Canton has expanded its popular value- and style- conscious LE
line with the new 200 series home theater loudspeakers, consisting
of a three-way tower, a horizontal center channel, and a bookshelf
monitor. Designed and manufactured by Canton from the ground up,
the models each feature the same driver components and acoustic
signature to deliver a clear and seamless soundstage for multi-channel
movies and music.
The LE 207 is a three-way tower speaker that
employs a 1-inch fabric tweeter, and two identical five-inch polypropylene
drivers, one handling bass and the other midrange duties. The speaker
boasts a frequency response of 40 Hz - 26 kHz yet maintains a narrow
footprint, making it ideal for use as either a front L/R home theater
speaker, or in a dedicated stereo system. The LE 207 has a suggested
retail price of $799 per pair.
The two-way LE 202 bookshelf speaker features
a single woofer and tweeter, and delivers clear and accurate reproduction
from 48 Hz to 26 kHz. These speakers are ideal for mounting on bookshelves,
in home entertainment centers, or atop the company's attractive
LS-65 speaker stand. The LE 202 has a suggested retail price of
$399 per pair.
The LE 205 CM features a pair of five-inch
polypropylene woofers horizontally flanking the one-inch fabric
tweeter in a sealed enclosure, giving it exceptional midbass linearity
for dialogue reproduction. Intended primarily for use as a center-channel
speaker, it is magnetically shielded for placement near video displays
and boasts a frequency response of 48 Hz - 26 kHz. The LE 205 CM
has a suggested retail price of $399 each.
The Canton LE 200-series is currently available
in either silver matte, or the LE line's signature Beech/Silver
bicolor finish.
