Runco Introduces Its Most Affordable Native 16:9 High Definition DLP Technology Based Projectors Ever

New Products Incorporate Runco's Groundbreaking 'GEN 3' Technology

Runco has introduced four new additions to its award winning projector lineup, based on Texas Instruments Digital Light Processing technology. The new Reflection(tm) Series CL-710 and CL-510 and long throw models CL-710LT and CL-510LT incorporate Runco's new GEN 3 technology, engineered to make more efficient use of optical light engine design. Runco has implemented a host of advancements into this new engine to take full advantage of TI's latest HD-2 widescreen high definition DMD chip.

Among the advances are a sophisticated color balancing system developed by Runco that provides superior gray scale tracking and extremely accurate gray scale reproduction. This results in rich, deeply saturated, true-to-life color reproduction, as well as superior black level and white level performance. The CL-710/CL-710LT boasts an impressive light output up to 18.1fL (1000* ANSI lumens) and an outstanding contrast ratio of 1800:1. The entry-level CL-510/CL-510LT delivers 17.8fL (*900 ANSI lumens) of light output and contrast ratio of 1700:1.

The CL-710/710LT and CL-510/510LT are designed to provide great versatility, outstanding image quality, and operational ease of use. Integrated video processing/scaling incorporates 3:2 pulldown compensation and all models include electronic keystone correction for installation versatility and discrete I/R and RS-232 control to make operational control a breeze.

These models also use professional grade lens optics with variable throw distances designed to adapt to many different types of home theater installations and room sizes. The CL-710 offers a variable throw distance of 1.4:1 to 1.6:1, while the CL-710LT provides a longer variable throw distance of 1.85:1 to 2.4:1. The CL-510 presents variable throws of 1.75 to 2.0 and the CL-510LT provides 2.3 to 3.0 (times the width of the screen.)

"Today's home theater rooms come in all different shapes and sizes. By offering multiple lens options on both the CL-510 and CL-710, Runco provides installers and end users more flexibility in projector installation and mounting options," said Ben Jamison, Runco's VP of Sales and Marketing.
