AMX Continues Evolutionary Touch Panel Innovations
With 7" Modero Widescreen
New Touch Panel the Most Advanced of Its Size on the Market Today
AMX Corporation (NASDAQ:AMXC) , a worldwide leader in advanced
control system technology, announces the new 7" Modero(TM) Widescreen
Touch Panel, an innovative addition to our award-winning line of
Modero Touch Panels. The 7" Modero Widescreen provides extra on-screen
real estate, making it the perfect fit for any integrated environment.
The 7" Modero Widescreen's 16x9 aspect ratio easily accommodates
graphics, icons and video windows on a single screen. Table Top
and Wall Mount versions of the panel are available with optional
external pushbuttons and wireless capabilities.
The 7" Modero Widescreen incorporates the
latest G4 graphics, representing an astounding evolution by AMX
in user interface design capabilities. Users can experience the
freedom of wireless by using the standard 802.11b Wi-Fi Card to
achieve wireless audio intercom and control capabilities, ultimately
eliminating unsightly cables to create an aesthetically pleasing
environment.
"The Modero line of Touch Panels, our most
successful product launch in company history, continues to expand
its reach into other market segments with the introduction of the
7" Widescreen," said Rashid Skaf, Executive Vice President. "It
was only a year ago when we debuted the Modero series and it already
includes Touch Panels in 7", 12", 15" and 17" sizes, as well as
the new 7.5" and 8.5" Modero ViewPoints. What a difference a year
makes."
The 7" Modero Widescreen carries on the AMX
tradition of giving the end user a Touch Panel with outstanding
high resolution, color, contrast and brightness. Utilizing color
active LCD technology and 800x480 resolution, graphics and video
appear clear and sharp. The 7" Modero Widescreen showcases 18-bits
per pixel of color depth, 350+cd/m2 peak brightness and a 200:1
contrast ratio.
The 7" Modero Widescreen is the ideal solution
for end users who desire the convenience of additional on-screen
real estate when the surroundings call for a smaller, unobtrusive
panel size. Between the 7" and 17" Modero Widescreen Touch Panels,
the end user and dealer now have the ability to choose from an expanded
line of feature-intensive Modero Touch Panels, all designed to meet
their specific needs today and into the future.
Other multi-media options include built-in
speakers and microphone, a headphone connection and the ability
to play back MP3 and WAV audio files. A photosensitive light detector
on the front of the panel determines surrounding degrees of light
and automatically regulates the brightness of the display. As with
the latest AMX Touch Panels, the 7" Modero Widescreen comes with
64MB of memory and compact flash, offering more graphically rich
user interface designs and the ability to retain valuable data in
the event of unforeseen power loss.
