Accurate Imaging Technologies, one of the premier specialists in
high-performance video systems for Home Theaters, continues the
evolution of the Digital Pathway with the introduction of the new
Ultimate R-2 HD Upconverter at CEDIA EXPO, beginning today in Indianapolis.
The Ultimate R-2 features state-of-the-art
high-definition video upconversion with real-time colorspace conversion
that creates an accurate HD representation of standard-definition
source colorimetry. It also employs 32-tap scaling to produce cleaner
edges, smoother curves and less noise in the upconversion process.
The Ultimate R-2 outputs 480p 59.94, 720p 59.94, and 1080i 59.94
from a NTSC 480i 59.94 input. It will output 576p 50, 720p 50, and
1080i 50 from a 576i 50 input.
"We're very enthusiastic about our new HD
Upconverter," said Accurate Imaging Product Manager John Roskelley.
"Not only are we providing a quieter product, we've also made it
more user friendly. In addition to a D-1 video input, we also provide
composite, component, and S-video connections."
The Digital Pathway Ultimate R-2 HD Processor
receives digital signals from any DVD player or standard NTSC D-1
digital video input (4:2:2); and analog inputs from component, S-video
and composite sources. It then upconverts them to 480p, 720p or
1080i, as selected by the user, employing an individual microprocessor
for every pixel in the image for the ultimate in video processed
pictures.
The Ultimate R-2 complements Accurate Imaging's
other HD Processors, the Ultimate R-1 and R-3, for a comprehensive
family of digital processors. Accurate Imaging's optional Digital
Pathway HD-SDI DAC Card combines with any of the Ultimate HD Processors
to convert HD-SDI digital output from the Processor to RGB.
All Accurate Imaging products and installations
are supported by experienced home theater technicians in the field,
as well as by phone and e-mail.
