Parks Associates Brings Insight into Broadband and
Multimedia Applications at Home Thru Fall Focus Seminars: Banking
on Broadband Services and The Home Multimedia Experience
Early registration for Parks Associates' two upcoming Fall Focus
executive seminars, which target issues specific to connectivity
and value-added services in the home, ends on September 10, 2003.
Until this date, registrants will receive discounted pricing to
attend the targeted, interactive events Banking on Broadband Services
and The Home Multimedia Experience, which will address broadband-enabled
value-added services and digital entertainment in the home, respectively.
"Overcoming the multiple challenges for these
markets demands solid consumer information as well as solutions
that are both realistic and innovative," says Tricia Parks, president
of Parks Associates. "The consumer information that we will provide
at Fall Focus, combined with healthy industry debate, will help
move us along the right road."
Connecting Legacy Devices on the Home Network:
The Challenges of Connectivity, a white paper available to download
at www.fallfocus.com, enumerates some of the issues for these events.
Both Fall Focus events will also feature companion research reports
available to all attendees and specific to the event topic.
Banking on Broadband Services will take place
October 29-30 in New York City, and The Home Multimedia Experience
will take place November 5-6 in San Jose, CA. These seminars (each
with an optional half-day workshop) will bring together leading
industry participants and observers to debate and analyze the success-based
formulas necessary to move these markets forward. Parks Associates
conservatively estimates that more than 150 million devices (PCs
and consumer electronics equipment) will be linked in multimedia-centric
home networks by the end of 2007, a testament to the growth potential
of this market.
The Home Multimedia Experience features Philips
Semiconductors as the title sponsor; Personica Intelligence as the
lunch sponsor; Digital5, Inc. and the Internet Home Alliance as
associate sponsors; and Oregan Networks Ltd as the breakfast sponsor.
Banking on Broadband Services features Sandvine as an associate
sponsor and Oregan Networks Ltd. as the breakfast sponsor.
CABA, the OSGi Alliance, TeleChoice, and
the Wi-Fi Technology Forum are supporting organizations for both
events. AutomatedBuildings.com, Broadband Wireless Business, HiddenWires,
Home Toys, Smart TV and Sound, and TECH Edge are the supporting
publications for both events.
