Gracenote Named "Technology of the Year" by Electronic
House Magazine
Industry's First Complete Music Management Suite Recognized as
Best of 2003 Connected Home Products
Gracenote(r), the worldwide leader in information services for
digital music and media, today announced that Gracenote Music Management
System has been awarded "Technology of the Year" by Electronic House
Magazine. Each year, Electronic House Magazine presents a series
of "Product of the Year" awards to the companies that present the
most innovative and useful new advances in home electronic technology.
Chosen from among hundreds of products and technologies, the Gracenote
Music Management System provides state-of-the-art music information
management functionality for the makers of CD players, mp3 players,
car stereos, home audio systems and wireless devices.
The Gracenote Music Management System includes
Gracenote CDDB(r) Gracenote MusicID(SM), Gracenote Clean(SM), Gracenote
Playlist(SM), Gracenote Link(SM) and Gracenote Encode(SM); all seamlessly
integrated to provide the foundation for a complete music listening

The awards selection process included editors
of EH Publishing's four magazines, Electronic House, CE Pro, Home
Automation and TecHome Builder who selected connected home products
from various categories based upon EH product reviews, demos and
opinions of installers and consumers who use the products. The products
selected as the best of 2003 were chosen from hundreds of entries
and had to be new for 2003 and shipped prior to June 2003.
EH Publishing, Inc. will host an awards breakfast
to recognize the award winners, which will take place concurrently
with the CEDIA Expo on September 6 from 8-9 am, at the Hyatt Regency,
Indianapolis.
