galaxis Surprises With Massive Product Offensive

galaxis will be presenting itself for the first time as a full-service provider of digital home entertainment at the International Berlin Radio and Television exhibition (Internationale Berliner Funkausstellung, IFA for short): in addition to an extensive range of digital set-top boxes designed especially for cable, satellite, DVB-T and DSL, galaxis is also showing innovative applications for multimedia PCs and laptops for integrated digital television reception. A Firewire solution for Free TV will be presented, for example. Very powerful, low-priced design-LCD screens with TV tuners in various sizes round off the new galaxis product range - digital television experience from set-top box to television set. This product offensive is being driven on by a comprehensive collaboration between galaxis and Packard Bell. As a consumer brand of NEC Computers, Packard Bell already cooperates successfully with galaxis in other European markets.

Furthermore, for selected trading partners galaxis is launching an exclusive receiver concept for the greatest demands: galaxis positions the high-end appliance, which is marketed under an independent brand, as a "Digital Entertainment Assistant". It unites a wealth of innovative functions, choice quality, the most sophisticated design and intuitive user guidance.

galaxis provides cable network operators with an independent product and performance spectrum: a flexible appliance matrix supports all European digital standards from MHP to Micro-HTML, while an extensive full-service concept also includes distribution and settlement with consumers as well as financial services.
