Integra introduces DPS-5.4 progressive scan DVD player with special features for custom installers

Integra introduces DPS-5.4 progressive scan DVD player, with 3-2 pulldown, bidirectional RS-232 port and IR in/out jacks for home theater and whole-home control system integration

Integra has introduced the new DPS-5.4 progressive scan DVD player, with improved 54 MHz/10-bit video processing including 3-2 pulldown. The single-disc player has an impressive array of custom installation features including rear-panel bidirectional RS-232 port and IR in/out jacks for seamless integration with home theater equipment and whole-home control systems. It also delivers superior audio performance, and is compatible with MP3 and WMA, including ID3 tag display, as well as DVD-R/RW, CD-R/RW, and JPEG image CDs.

The DPS-5.4 features both RCA and BNC component video outputs, as well as two sets of S-Video and Composite video outputs for optimum compatibility with any home theater display. The player's deinterlacing circuitry includes 3-2 pulldown to deliver progressive scan output free of the artifacts that otherwise occur when film-based video, shot at 24 fps (frame-per-second), is converted to 30 fps for reproduction on home video displays.

For audio reproduction, the DPS-5.4 features 192 kHz/24-bit linear PCM audio DACs coupled with the company's exclusive Vector Linear Shaping Circuit (VLSC) for smoother and more linear analog output. It also includes Integra's enhanced Direct Digital Path to ensure maximum fidelity of audio information delivered to the coaxial digital output jack.
