Phonex Unveils New USB Version of Award Winning NeverWire Product Line

New NeverWire USB Powerline adapter delivers a network connection with broadband speed through home electrical outlets

Phonex Broadband TM Corporation, a world leader in Power Line Carrier (PLC) voice, audio and data communication technology, today unveiled new addition to award winning NeverWire product line - the NeverWire USB with sleek wall-mount design.

The NeverWire USB provides a convenient USB connection from the PC to the home electrical outlet. By placing a second NeverWire device into another electrical outlet in the home, an instant powerline data network is formed. Customers can share a broadband connection, share files, share printers or play games with fast, reliable broadband speed.

"As the leader in powerline communications, we are proud to offer another simple to use, easy to install powerline product to the market," said John Knab, CEO. "The NeverWire USB offers the speed, small size and easy to use features that customers desire."

The NeverWire product line offers innovative powerline communication devices for home networking. The product line includes NeverWire 14 (Ethernet port), NeverWire USB, and the NeverWire Combo (Ethernet and USB). The introductory product, NeverWire 14, boasts several awards including CES Best of Innovations. CES again honored Phonex by selecting the NeverWire Combo for an Innovations Award in 2003. The NeverWire USB is the latest innovation from Phonex with a sleek wall-mount design.

The NeverWire USB delivers 12MB speed and measures only 2.04" W x 3.12" H x 1.08" D, smaller than a business card at just over an inch thick. 3DES encryption keeps personal data protected and is easily enabled through software. The NeverWire USB is HomePlug compliant and will retail for $99.
