Newsletter - 4 May 2007 - Installation |
|
|
This year our annual trip to Las Vegas for the National Association
of Broadcasters Convention coincided with the new CEDIA (US)
Electronic Lifestyles Expo. Aimed at builders, architects
and interior designers, this Expo featured specially-designed
courses and the exhibition offered a selection of technologies
and products. Although a fraction of the size of the September
US Expo, more than 1,800 participated and from the conversations
we had, these key specifiers are eager to find out how they
can work with custom installers.
While on the subject of events, it's less than eight weeks
to go before the CEDIA UK Expo opens its doors. If you plan
on attending this trade-only event, you can register
online for free entry until 31 May 2007. If you want a
preview of what will be on show, the HiddenWires special CEDIA
UK Expo 2007 news section is now available and will be
added to as announcements are made. We will also be publishing
a HiddenWires@CEDIA UK Expo 2007 print supplement to be distributed
at the show and online as a PDF.
Our feature this month is Installation, and is sponsored
by Stardraw.
We have five articles covering the Stardraw Control System,
the need for HDMI, the aesthetics of loudspeakers, ISF calibration,
and training qualifications. We also have a case study of
a demonstration house in Slovakia that won the EMEA
InAVation Award for best Residential Project (Small-Medium).
