What's new?
Part of our strategy in making sure that HiddenWires
reaches the custom installation trade throughout the UK and Europe is
to sponsor and participate in trade events, and we have just returned
from one of the most important events on our calendar - the fourth Integrated
Systems Europe (ISE) in Amsterdam. Co-hosted by CEDIA, InfoComm and NSCA,
the show has grown rapidly to fill four halls with 363 exhibitors from
28 countries, and this year attracted a record attendance of 16,269 visitors.
Besides the increase in numbers, all the exhibitors we spoke to reported
they would be back next year, with many planning larger stands.
We'd like to welcome all our new subscribers who signed
up at ISE. We are coninuing to add to the HiddenWires special ISE
2007 news section so that it offers the most comprehensive coverage
of residential technology at the event, and for those who didn't get a
copy at the show, the HiddenWires@ISE 2007 preview newsletter is also
available as a PDF.
The inaugural EMEA InAVation Awards took place on the
eve of ISE at the Hilton Amsterdam. Congratulations to the team at InAVate
magazine and IML Events for a great evening, with over 200 guests enjoying
dinner and entertainment, plus 11 technology awards and 5 project awards.
As a media partner, HiddenWires presented best 'Loudspeaker Product for
Residential Use' to KEF Audio for the FiveTwo Series, and best 'Control
Product for Residential Use' to AMX for the Mio Modero R4 Remote.
Also on the event front, HiddenWires is supporting the
upcoming T3 Smart Home Show which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham in
March. You can register for free tickets by following this link.
Our feature this month is Lighting, and is sponsored
by Dynalite. We have
four articles covering Dynalite's DDMC802 lighting controller, lighting
technology and design considerations, Part L of the Building Regulations,
and an industry opinion piece on the residential lighting control market.
We also have a case study that focuses on the use of coloured lighting.
Finally, we'd like to welcome MustAVit
as a Silver sponsor.
