The Current Audio name is backed by the award winning, inspiring founding team of Rich Apgar, Ron Maurer and Sean McDermott.
Rich and Sean represent decades of installation experience and Ron brings 30 years of engineering and manufacturing know-how in the speaker business. We understand the installer's wants, needs, and pain. As a result we present proven, innovative products that excel in quality and performance and save you time and money.
In the last 20 years, founder Ron Maurer, has designed custom installation products and high quality speaker systems for some of the industry's finest brands, including Sonance, Speakercraft, Niles, Klipsch, Polk Audio, NHT, SAS.
Ron is named on five international loudspeaker patents. In addition Ron, Rich and Sean control more patents and trademarks for Current Audio than companies that have been in the business 20 years or more.
Operations
Our products are designed and engineered at our California facility and produced in our exclusive factories in China and Taiwan to our own exacting superior standards. Strict control over 100% of our components is good but initially selecting the correct components insures a lifetime of enjoyment.
Our quality control systems are second-to-none. There are 14 Quality Assurance tests alone done to the voice coil for our speaker. This attention to excellence at every step of the process allows us to offer an industry-leading lifetime warranty on our speakers and extended warranty on electronics.
