D Series Digital Power Amplifiers

Elan’s four D Series Amplifiers use Class T digital technology to provide the best in performance, efficiency and sound. Typical amplifiers waste over half their energy as heat. Elan D Series use Class T digital technology which is 85% efficient so that power is translated into incredible sound instead of wasted energy. The same technology optimizes the switching frequency of each amplifier to produce the highest possible fidelity with all signal types. The end result is smooth, high quality audio and a low heat/high efficiency design that can deliver clean, full rated power from all channels simultaneously.

D1650

The D1650 was designed for large multi-room systems and is the perfect partner for Elan’s 12 source/8 zone AV controller - System12. With 16 channels of digital Class T amplification it can power up to eight stereo zones, 16 monoaural zones or any further combination. A and B stereo busses allow routing one set of inputs to other inputs without the use of additional cables. Buffered loop outputs for each channel make it easy to configure multi-room listening areas in stereo or mono.

D1200

12 channel digital power amplifier. Rated at 100 WPC into 4 ohms and 70 WPC into 8 ohms, the D1200 can deliver up to 1200W of continuous power. The D1200 is the perfect amplifier for all high-power, multi-room applications.

D660

Standing only 1-3/4 in. high, the D660 is designed to fit into a single rack space yet has ample power for any multi-room audio application. Six Class T digital channels rated at 75 watts @ 4 ohms or 60 watts @ 8 Ohms produce clear , rich sound from any audio source. Six buffered-loop outputs make it easy to create additional stereo and mono listening areas, and a Bus Mode switch allows instant linking of channels.

D400

1 3/4” high and stable down to 2 ohms, the D400 can drive up to six 8 ohm speakers. Perfect for large rooms or outdoor areas with multiple speakers. Maximum power for minimum space.

Analogue Amplifiers

A1240

Designed to provide an affordable solution for multi-room audio systems requiring up to 12 channels of amplification.

Building on Elan’s proven analogue technology, the A1240 adds features such as audio sensing, stereo/mono bussing and trigger inputs/outputs. Dip switches enable a bus input to be routed to any output without the use of patch cables.

Six 12V trigger inputs allow each pair of channels to be activated independently, whilst the trigger output sends a 12V pulse whenever any channel is switched on. The audio sense circuit mutes or un-mutes channels base on the presence or absense of an audio signal.

Each channel also features an audio loop output for the easy creation of sub-zones, and individual channel gain adjustments allow fine tuning of each channel’s level.

Elan Systems (UK) Ltd is the sole distributor for UK and Ireland and has worked with Elan Home Systems for many years. We recruit, train and support installers, as well as providing product and system information to home owners.

Enquiries from designers and specifiers as well as home owners are welcome. Design assistance is routinely offered to installation companies working with Elan products for the first time.
