Weibel's patented precision projector lift

The patented Weibel Projector Lift overcomes all of the problems normally associated with traditional scissor projector lifts. With the Weibel Projector Lift, there is no deviation in upward and downward movements, and so the lift will always fit flush with the ceiling.

Neither is there a problem of insufficient space to build the lift in, as the Weibel Projector Lift only requires 150mm of depth. When projector is taken out for maintenance and replaced, there is no need for the projection to be adjusted again, and there are no on-going problems with cabling!

Manufactured in Switzerland to ensure the highest quality and precision, Weibel Projector Lift is fitted with an 'easy access system' comprising a tilting bracket that allows the projector to be removed within 30 seconds and replaced in exactly the same position in less than a minute.

How it works

By having a spindle guide in each corner, the Weibel Projector Lift moves up and down in parallel, with virtually no deviation - only 0.1mm between its lower and upper end positions - the thickness of two human hairs! This means that the gap in the ceiling can be as small as 1-2mm, which is practically invisible in the ceiling structure. Thus with the Weibel Lift, the ceiling plate is always flush, without any rims or overlapping parts.

The spindles are fixed to a steel frame, which is connected to the ceiling. They use bearings and are made of tough steel that offers the highest durability. In fact all of the materials used are deisgned to be maintenance-free after installation. The chain for the spindles is driven by a silent drive unit made in Germany which is protected against overheating, and has a safety feature should something block the chain.

Control

The Weibel Projector Lift can be controlled by a simple potential-free up/down switch, as well as by IR or RF remote control, or by any bus or media control system via touchscreen. This needs only three thin wires to be connected to the lift, excluding the cabling for the projector.

Installation

The installation of a Weibel Projector Lift is much easier than a scissor lift beause the cabling is controlled and the accuracy of return is very precise. The Weibel Projector Lift is supplied with rawl-plugs and screws, and a detailed installation manual. The easy access system consists of a metal plate, on which the projector is fitted during the initial installation using a normal drill and the supplied template. The plate can be removed very easily from the adjustable tilting bracket which can be adjusted in all planes. Once the adjusting screws are locked, the projector can be re-inserted without affecting the original alignment of the picture on the screen.

Maintenance

In tests, the Weibel Projector Lift has been raised and lowered over 40,000 times without any re-lubricating and without the lift showing any vibration or wear and tear, and has been tested with loads of more than 200kg (although no more than 75kg is recommended for safetly reasons). In fact its inventor, Hans Weibel, is so confident of its performance that he personally gives a five-year guarantee with each Weibel Projector Lift!
